Objective

Shake, rattle and roll to this new group looking at the sounds of the 60's and 70's. Listen again, and if you feel the urge, get up and dance to the music that got us all twistin' and shoutin'. Dust off your old 45s, EPs, and LPs in the loft and boogie on down! (CDs and cassettes also welcome). Enjoy a nostalgic musical step back to the era when the sounds of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tamla Motown, Cliff, Elvis and many more were top of the Hit Parade.

Venue

Thringstone Methodist Hall

Timing

2nd Tuesday of the month, 10.00am to 12 noon.

Tue Jun 12th Vince will never forget the moment they kissed, the night of the hay-ride, and now he has 'The Look of Love' upon his face, a look that time can't erase. He's hoping to share those 'Magic Moments' again with Peggy Sue but she tells him there will always be something there to remind her of 'Alfie'. Vince pleads with her 'What's it all About', 'Don't go Breakin' my Heart', 'This Guy's In Love with You', I just long to be 'Close to You'. So 'What's New Pussycat', scoffs Peggy Sue, I'm on my way to San Jose. Why do you have to be a 'Heartbreaker', sighs Vince, you know you'll never get to heaven if you break my heart, so if you see me walkin' down the street, each time we meet, just 'Walk on By'. Will Peggy Sue find her way to San Jose? Join us at our next Juke Box when we celebrate the 90th birthday of Burt Bacharach and his collaboration with Lyricist Hal David.
