Objective
For members who love to cook and would like to try something different, exchange favourite recipes, share their skills and taste new dishes. Please note it is not a learn to cook group for beginners!

April 2026. At our April meeting we produced a real feast of Feta & Dill Pilo Parcels, Gnarly Garlic Brussels, Sausage and Apple Bake, Mediterranean Traybake & Plum Tartin. It was a real feast.   Sausage and Apple Bake Mediterranean Traybake

January 2026. The Discovering Dishes group spent an enjoyable morning cooking and then eating Vegetarian Shepherd's pie and Baby Roast Vegetables followed by a particularly delicious Delia Smith Squidgy Chocolate Log.

June 2025. This month's recipes were Massaman Dal, Baba Ganoush, flatbreads and a Greek salad followed by Baclava. |

May 2025. The Discovering Dishes Group enjoyed cooking, and eating a range of vegetarian dishes at our May meeting. These included Thai Prawn Salad, Giant green beans, Quinoa and sweet potato burgers and Raspberry Macaroons. |

January 2025. This meeting of the Discovering Dishes Group was a January Burns lunch. We made Potato Scones, Vegetarian Haggis & Cranachan, all Scottish dishes, and toasted Robbie Burns & the Haggis. |

December 2023. The Discovering Dishes Group enjoyed a lovely meal of Celebration Turkey & Vegetable bake and Buttered Mushrooms glazed with soy sauce, followed by a beautiful Carrot, Orange & Hazelnut cake made by Mary to celebrate Alison's birthday. |

February 2023. At the February get together the group cooked the following delicious dishes - South American-style quinoa, quorn & root vegetable meatloaf, prawn, pepper & chickpea filo pie and mushroom & miso noodles. |

July 2022. On a very hot Tuesday the Discovering Dishes group managed to put together a very tasty lunch. We made Roasted chickpea, peach and tomato salad and a rainbow salad with chicken followed by a delicious courgette and lime cake. The latter an excellent way of tackling that glut of courgettes you gardeners might have. |
