Whitwick & District U3A - Computing tip March 2014
This month we are looking closer to home, specifically at our website. With a significant number of new members, it seemed timely to provide a resume of what is there.
The Home page provides a listing of forthcoming events, and you can choose to show 7, 14, 21 or 28 days ahead. This page also provides details of new groups, pictures recently added to group pages and general information of relevance to members. Details of General Meetings can also be found here.
The individual group pages provide information about the group's aims, meeting venues, times and contacts. Many groups also provide more details about their forthcoming activities and pictures of recent ones. Pictures and short descriptions of past activities can be found in the Gallery.
The Members Area, being only accessible by members, requires you to sign in with your email address and membership number (as given in the top right of your membership badge). This area provides more information about Committee Members and Group Leaders, usually including phone numbers and a picture of the person.
The Members Area also provides access to the most recent version of the monthly Update, and to notes from Computing sessions. It also contains a number of Guides and items of information which may be of relevance to members especially Group Leaders. This area also lets you tell us about a change to your email address, and lets you set what changes to website content you would like to be notified about.
Perhaps not too surprisingly, the How to Join section provides information about fees, visitors and membership forms.
The Info/Links provides information which is available to members and public alike, and covers such things as previous Newsletters, computing tips and WAD policies/ guides
