Strollers - October's Walk - 2022

A 3 mile walk from Oakthorpe Picnic Area, led by Mell and Mark, through Willesley Wood, along Pastures Lane and past Thortit Lake. It was excellent walking weather. Lunch afterwoods was at the Halfway House in Donisthorpe.

SWANS - October's Walk - 2022

This was a short walk around the grounds of Ulverscroft Manor, led by Andrew and Anna. It broke all records on numbers with 36 walkers and 27 eating lunch at The Copt Oak Pub. The walk included round the deer park, into the Kazakhstan Yurt and round the pond. This first picture is of the walkers...........

Before the walk we listened to a bit of very interesting history regarding Ulverscroft Manor, seen on the right.

After the walk the walkers split into two groups for The Copt Oak. Here's Group 2, while Group 1 was on its way to the pub.

Saunters - September - Ulverscroft Manor - 2022

Our September walk was led by Sheila from the Restaurant and Gift Shop area to Ulverscroft Manor. The buggies were made use of for the return journey.

Strollers - September's Walk - 2022

We walked from Quorn to Barrow upon Soar. The pictures include Barrow Weir, the Grand Union Canal and the former Quorn Hunt stables.

SWANS - September's Walk - 2022

A 2 mile walk round Sence Valley Park, led by Jane & Ray. At the end of the walk fun was had feeding the wildlife, as the following pictures show. Lunch afterwards was at The Queen's Head in Heather.

Saunters - May 2022 - Bagworth Heath Woods

Our May walk was led by Steve & Christine around the Royal Tigers' Wood Arboretum and the lakes of Bagworth Heath Wood. It was a lovely warm sunny morning, and a very pleasant saunter was rounded off with the group partaking of drinks and a snack in the woods.

A 2.5 mile walk round Market Bosworth Country Park, organised by Fran and led by David. A pleasant day for walking with lunch at Ye Olde Red Lion in Market Bosworth.

SWANS - February's Walk - 2022

A 2.5 mile walk from Bosworth Battlefield, led by David. Although the weather stayed dry and bright for the walk the recent rain had created quite a challenge with the mud. However, the 20 walkers survived and enjoyed a lunch at the Gate Inn.

Stroller's - January's Walk - 2022

For our first walk of 2022 John led us from Lount, through Lount Woods, past Staunton Harold Church and back to Lount for a lunch at the Ferrer's Arms. Below are some pictures of the group at Staunton Harold.
